TempleOS was written entirely by Davis in a custom programming language he created called HolyC. It was a 64-bit, x86-64, multi-tasking, public domain, open-source operating system designed for recreational programming.
Davis gained a cult following online due to his unique personality, prolific output, and the distinctive aesthetics of TempleOS. He often livestreamed his work and shared his thoughts on a variety of topics, often expressing strong opinions.
